Wendell Glenn Ayers

Mr. Wendell Glenn Ayers, 74, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, Ga. Mr. Ayers was employed by Oxford Industries for 35 years. He was of the Baptist faith. Wendell was a graduate of the University of Georgia. Wendell was preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Louise Hopkins Ayers. He is survived by his brothers Stan ( Sharon) Ayers of Elberton and Keith Ayers of Lilburn, Georgia. He is also survived by a niece Natalie Hester of Greenville, South Carolina and nephew Tim Ayers of Fernandina Beach, Florida. Funeral services for Mr. Ayers will be Saturday, December 1, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, November 30, 2012, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Hicks Funeral Home. Internment will be at Elmhurst Cemetery following the service. Flowers will be graciously accepted or if so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Organ Fund of First Baptist Church, 132 Heard Street, Elberton, Georgia30635.
