Tracey Jones Lord

Tracey Jones Lord, age 58, entered into rest on Friday, May 20, 2022 at her home.

Tracey was born in Elberton to the late Olin C. Jones and Sara Brown Jones. Tracey enjoyed singing and fishing. She also enjoyed cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and during the 90s, she loved watching the Atlanta Braves. Tracey was a “mama” to many, and could make anyone laugh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Thomas Lord who recently passed away in February; two infant grandchildren; sister in law, Bessie Lord; and brother in law, Bobby Green.

She is survived by her children, Shane Erwin (April Black), Daniel Neal (Lisa), Michael Lord, Jeremy Lord (Krista), Angie Lord, Lexi Neal (Chris Mayweather), and Kaydun Neal (Jade Whitehead); twelve grandchildren; brother, Johnny Jones (Brenda); sister, Emily Green; brother in law, James Lord; sister in law, Verna Sue David; and many special nieces and nephews. Last but certainly not least, she is survived by her faithful companions- Biscuit and Tybee.

A celebration of Tracey’s life will take place at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in the Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Fife officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel M. Church Cemetery, Danielsville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
