Thomas Glenn McGarity

Mr. Thomas Glenn McGarity, Jr. 78, entered into rest on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Springvalley Nursing Home, Elberton. Thomas was born on January 31, 1934 in Elberton, Georgia to the late Hattie Lee Eaves and Thomas Glenn McGarity, Sr.Thomas was a member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church and was co-owner of Harmony Blue Granite Company. Survivors include his wife, Lavinia Harper McGarity; a son, Tommy (Cathi) McGarity, III of Elberton; and two daughters,Laura (Mike) Sanders of Batesville MS, and Susan (Cameron) Farish ofCenter, SC.; four granddaughters and one grandson. Crypt side services for Mr. McGarity were held on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Elmhurst Cemetery, Elberton Georgia. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
