S. Arnett Hill

Mr. S. Arnett Hill, 95 of Elberton, entered into rest Friday, August 31, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Hill was born to the late Jim and Annie Hill on July 17, 1917 in Elbert County, Georgia. He is survived by his wife, Helenne, with whom he celebrated 72 years of marriage.Mr. Hill worked in the granite industry for Exolon Abrasive as a salesman covering eleven states. In addition to his wife, survivors include a son: Bobby Hill of Tifton, Georgia; a daughter, Brenda (Billy) Griner of Brunswick, Georgia; a brother, Calvin (Nita) Hill of Elberton;and a sister, Margaret Nelms of Flowery Branch, Georgia. Also surviving are five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, September 3, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Elberton at 2:00 p.m. with Reverends Raymond Scott and James Guffey officiating. The family received friendsfrom 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church.Interment followed at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
