Ruby Broadwell McCurley

Mrs. Ruby Louise Broadwell McCurley, 77, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Spring Valley Nursing Home. Mrs. McCurley was born in Abbeville, South Carolina to the late Barney and Alma Lee Evans Broadwell.She was the widow of the late Lee Eugene McCurley. Mrs. McCurley worked as a beautician for several years, and later worked at Spring Valley Nursing Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Mrs. McCurley is survived by a son, Tim E. McCurley of Elberton; four grandchildren: Kirsten, Jon, Jenna, and Kyle McCurley; and one great-grandchild, Draven Boleman.She also leaves behind two sister-in-laws, Lillian Cherry (Robert) of Stone Mountain, and Mary Jean Higginbotham Ginn of Elberton. Mrs. McCurley was preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn Broadwell. A graveside service was held Sunday afternoon, April 14, 2013at 2:00 p.m. at Elmhurst Cemetery with a time of visitation at the graveside at 1:30.
