Robert D. "Bobby" Capes

Mr. Robert D. “Bobby” Capes, 86, of Sandy Cross (Carlton), entered into rest Friday, January 21, 2022 at his son’s home in Evans, GA. A native of Oglethorpe County, Bobby was the son of the late Grady and Annie Lou Capes. He was preceded death by his wife, Betty Capes.He cherished his family and his friends, and enjoyed being outdoors, including hunting, fishing and working in his yard and garden.He was a member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Robert Gary and Alisa Palmer Capes, Evans; grandchildren, Robert Jason Capes, Dallas, GA, and Jamie Capes Richardson (Andrew), Savannah; and one great grandchild, Bennett Andrew Richardson, Savannah. The family will hold a Memorial Service at a later date. Arrangements for Mr. Bobby Capes were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
