Mrs. Jane Madden

August 2, 1943 - October 24, 2015

Mrs. Jane Dye Madden, 72, of Elberton, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Spring Valley Private Home Care. A native of Elberton, Mrs. Madden was the daughter of the late George Jackson Dye, Jr. and the late Mary Fay Fleming Dye. She was the wife of George Frank Madden, having celebrated over 53 years of marriage together. Mrs. Madden was a homemaker and a member of Fortsonia Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, George Frank Madden, Mrs. Madden is survived by a son, Brent Madden and his wife, Michelle, of Jefferson; a grandson, Patrick Madden; a brother, Jackson B. Dye and his wife, Teresa, of Elberton; and a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate Mrs. Madden’s life was held on Monday, October 26th at Fortsonia Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Ben Glosson, Rev. Al Butler, and Rev. Tim Adams officiating. The family received friends at the church just prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor., New York, NY 10001, or Fortsonia Baptist Church at 2616 Washington Hwy., Elberton, Georgia 30635.
