Gamaliel Elias

Mr. Gamaliel Elias, 78 of Elberton, Georgia, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022, in his home. Native of Elberton, GA, Mr. Elias was a family-oriented man. He was loved by many. He enjoyed singing and dancing. Most of all, he was a very free-spirited person and adventurous. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his loved ones all while popping a beer. He was the son of late J Concepcion and Gloria Rios. He was preceded in death by wife Sofia Villanueva and daughter Mari Lou Elias. Mr. Elias is survived by his daughter Roberta Escobar and sons Gamaliel Elias and Josue Elias. He also leaves behind his 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The family received friends on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Hicks Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.Services followed at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church Mission in Elberton. He was laid to rest at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Elberton. Arrangements for Mr. Gamaliel Elias were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elberton.
