Bruce Barnes

Mr. Bruce Barnes, 54, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Friday, May 9, 2014. Bruce was the son of Otis and Pat Wilder Barnes of Elberton.He had been married for over 31 year to his wife, Renee’ Barnes.Bruce worked in the granite industry as a sandblaster for Eagle Granite Company,and served his country in the United States Navy. In addition to his parents and his wife,Bruce is survived by three children: Mandy Ellis of Virginia, Jonathan Barnes, and Joseph Barnes, both of Elberton;a brother, Tim Barnes of Elberton; a sister, Gail Barnes of North Carolina; and seven grandchildren.He also leaves behind two nieces, Mandy and Kimmie Barnes. A memorial service will be held Thursday evening, May 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Hicks Funeral Home Chapel. Hicks Funeral Home of Elberton is caring for the family of Mr. Bruce Barnes.
