Nancy Pless Blackmon

Mrs. Nancy Ruth Pless Blackmon, 77, formerly of Elberton, passed away Sunday morning, March 19, 2017 at Pruitthealth Athens Heritage with her family at her side. The daughter of the late Harliss Monroe and Parie Taylor Pless, she was a native of Toccoa.Mrs. Blackmon was preceded in death by her husband of forty three years, Milton Edward Blackmon, Jr.She was a homemaker and loved to sew and loved her family. A service to celebrate Mrs. Blackmon’s life was held Tuesday, March 21st at 1:00pm in the chapel of Hicks Funeral Home.Entombment followed in Forest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum with Caleb Torbit, Chris Wakefield, David Capell and Allen DelFavero serving as pallbearers. Survivors include two daughters, Melanie Ruth Blackmon, of Crawford and Kimberly Faith Bradford and her husband, Gene, of Lexington; one son, Milton Edward Blackmon III and his wife, Erica of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Jonathan Mark Marsellers, Nicholas Waylon Marsellers, Adrien Rebecca Wakefield, Mason Edward Blackmon, Heather Noel Bradford, Caleb Taylor Torbit and Hannah Grace Kidd; great grandchildren, Hunter Alexander Maxon, Cailyn Marie Torbit, Kalley Dakota Cowart and Brynn Blackmon; brothers, Fred and John Pless; sister Nellie Capell and numerous nieces and nephews.
