Joshua Daniel Baxter

Mr. Joshua Daniel Baxter, 23, of Anderson, South Carolina, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016.Joshua was born in Athens, Georgia, the son of Melissa Bouknight Booth. He was working as a chef.He was preceded in death by his infant sister, Jessica Baxter and his step-grandfather, Jimmy Lane “Sarge” Booth. Survivors include his parents, Melissa and Jimmy Booth, of Elberton; three children, Danny Baxter, Annabeth Baxter and Spencer Baxter; maternal grandmother, Gail Isom, of Canton; maternal grandfather, Harry E. Bouknight, Jr. and his wife, Diane, of Athens; great-grandmother, Bobbie Bouknight,and step-grandmother, Marilyn Booth, of Elberton.He also leaves behind three brothers: Jonathan Baxter and his wife, Nichole, Levi Baxter, and David Booth; one sister, Alaina Chastain; a niece and a nephew; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services were held on Monday, November 7th at 3:00 p.m. at the Assembly Church of Hartwell with Pastor Steve Carroll officiating.Interment followed in the Elmhurst Cemetery in Elberton.Mason Gales, Scott Perrin, Braden Segars, Levi Baxter, Colten Evans, Jonathan Baxter and Bryson Evans served as pallbearers. Arrangements for Mr. Joshua Daniel Baxter were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Elberton.
