Alan Leonard Stroupe

Mr. Alan Leonard Stroupe, 53, of Lavonia, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital. Mr. Stroupe was born in Asheville, North Carolina on December 29, 1963, the son of Leonard Harrison Stroupe and the late Dottie Penley Stroupe.He was a self-employed carpenter, and a member of Lavonia First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Vicki Wilkerson Stroupe of Lavonia; a daughter, Rachelle Donna Stroupe of Black Mountain, NC; and his father, Leonard H. Stroupe of Asheville, NC.He also leaves behind a sister, Angie Morrow; two brothers, Monty Stroupe and Jeff Stroupe; and four grandchildren: Haven Mae Dalton, Buddy Alan Dalton, Guenivere Alexandria Dalton, and Kadence Marie Roach. A memorial service was held on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home in Elberton. Arrangements for Mr. Alan Leonard Stroupe were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
